Sober Draft

2025 Sober Draft Rules

  1. No drugs or alcohol allowed at the park. If you are caught participating in either, you will be asked to leave immediately with NO refund.
  2. No outside food or BBQ grills at the complex or the parking lot.
  3. Clean up your dugout after every game.
  4. Music is allowed but please keep the volume at a respectful level and keep it clean. If an umpire or opposing team asks you to turn it off then you turn it off.
  5. This isn’t the world series so treat everyone with respect!
  6. Any violence, fighting, or swearing at umpires or players could lead to ejection from the game or possibly the tournament with NO refund.
  7. If a player is ejected they are removed from the lineup.
  8. All rosters must be signed and turned in before you are eligible to play.
  9. You MUST have a wristband on to take the field. If you do not have one, you are not eligible to play.
  10. Be ready 30 minutes before your scheduled game time. If games end early and you aren’t ready to start, this could lead to a forfeit.
  11. Any umpire disputes go to the UIC (Scott Stulc).
  12. All players must hit unless they are physically unable to.
  13. All games are scheduled for 55 minutes with no new inning starting after 54 minutes. If weather causes a delay we will switch to 45 minute 1 pitch games until we are caught back up to normal schedule.
  14. No male dominance. This means if a female is camped underneath a ball, the male player can’t call her off. ALL male dominance calls are umpires discretion.
  15. No player pick ups unless you’re under 10 total players.
  16. USSSA 240 stamp bats only! No 220 stamps allowed.
  17. Last out sits. This is whoever records the last out, either the batter or a base runner.
  18. 1 pinch runner per gender per inning. If you pinch run for someone and you make the last out of the inning on the base paths, YOU are the one who sits, not the original person who got on base.
  19. Must have 2 females in the field at all times. If you only have 2 and one of them makes the last out you must play with 9 players (8 males, 1 female).
  20. Visiting team gets ½ run to start the game. This avoids any tie games after the 55 minutes and no extra innings.
  21. Away team will roll the dice for team HR count. Both teams will get the same number of HR’s to start the game.
  22. Modified USSSA rules.
  23. 3-2 count with NO COURTESY.
  24. 6-10 arch for pitching.
  25. Pitching net must be on the pitcher’s glove side.
  26. Pitching net may not be used as an extra fielder. Must be aligned with the rubber.
  27. If a batter hits the net with no strikes on them it is a dead ball strike. If a batter hits the net with a strike on them it is a dead ball out.
  28. Each team will get 2 HR wristbands (Male or Female) and 2 double run wristbands (Female ONLY).
  29. If a player with a HR wristband hits a HR, it does not count against the total amount of team HR’s for the game.
  30. If a female player with a 2x run wristband scores, she is worth 2 runs. THIS IS ONLY FOR HER AT BAT!
  31. If you pinch run for a 2x run wristband, the person pinch running does NOT count as 2 runs. If a 2x run wristband pinch runs for someone else, they do NOT count as 2 runs.
  32. If you walk a HR band they automatically go to 2B regardless of who is on deck, on the bases or the amount of outs. The wristband transfers to the next person. If a female follows, they have the option to hit or walk to 1B. If she elects to hit, she becomes the new HR band. If a male follows they will become the HR band.
  33. If a male walks with a male behind them, they go to 1B. If a male walks with a female behind them, they go to 2B.
  34. Redo cards must be purchased before your first game of the tournament. Your team manager will get a card showing you purchased them. This card will be good for the ENTIRE TOURNAMENT regardless of the amount of games you play. This will be $50 per team and ONLY available before your first game.
  35. Redo cards must be presented at the coin flip and shown to the umpire in order to be used for the game.
  36. Redos can be used offensively or defensively.
  37. You may not redo a redo.
  38. You may not redo an appeal call.
  39. HAVE FUN and remember what this is about!
